What is the rakau ONE?
It's a display which shows you bus and train arrivals

How does it work?
It uses a small computer to connect to the internet and retrieve departure information for your selected stops. This is shown on the LED display.

Can I control it myself?
Yes! The rakau is controlled from a web browser on any mobile, tablet or desktop computer:

Can it link to any bus stop?
It can show arrivals for any bus or tram stop and train station across the UK.

How many stops can it show?
It can show all the arrivals at up to three stops. Arrivals at all stops are shown, soonest first.

Can I change the colours and brightness?
Yes. See the screen shot above.

What are the dots next to the arrival number for?
They show which of the three stops the arrival is at

How much power does it use?
21W. About the same as two LED light bulbs

How much does it weigh?
6kg

How big is it?
104 x 24 x 9cm

Do I need fast wi-fi?
No. The data rate used by the rakau is very low. It connects to the TFL arrivals system every 15 seconds, and retrieves a few kb of data each time.

What aftercare do you offer?
The unit is very reliable and very rarely has problems. Free software upgrades are available, and support by email: support@rakau.london

Do you provide different cases?
Not at the moment.

Are there any options when I order one?
Yes:

  • Cable entry point: Left, right, top, bottom or back
  • Cable length

Do you offer a warranty?
Yes, two years.

What is the delivery time from order?
Currently the rakau ONE is made to order. You should allow six weeks for delivery.
